In 2008, Brant Barger (an LA-Based producer) and Matthew Roznovak (a Houston-born lawyer who relocated to California) put their heads together to create a company that could serve the growing creative community around them. Rank and File Media was born. Within a year, Rank and File had already made commercials and music videos for major agencies, artists, and record labels. Clients included Domino's Pizza, Sears, Budweiser, and a laundry list of record labels and recording artists. Rumors of their ability to support major productions began to spread and the budgets and complexity of the projects they were offered began to grow.

Since then Brant and Matt have made it their goal to foster the talents of their directors and continue to grow with them. They strive to take on projects that challenge them both logistically and creatively and see them through to completion. They recently expanded from a focus on commercials and music videos to include narrative filmmaking in their cannon of production expertise. 2012 looks to be successful on both the commercial and narrative fronts, and Rank and File is extremely excited to be involved in high-quality, innovative entertainment projects this coming year.
