Mignatti brings a strong post-production background as an editor and has multi-faceted directorial experience in a variety of disciplines such as feature films, television, commercials, music videos, and documentaries, specializing in comedy with a strong emotional hook and in real-life situations and people. His commercial work includes spots for high-profile clients like Estee Lauder, the People's Choice Awards, the History Channel, Kirshenbaum Bond, and DraftFCB. Mignatti studied film at NYU and acting at Circle in the Square.

His feature film work includes the award-winning romantic comedy BROADWAY DAMAGE and the soon-to-be-released documentary THIS TIME, an emotional and music-driven portrait of six artists including the legendary girl-group and Elvis Presley back-up singers, The Sweet Inspirations.

In 2007, he became a Grammy Award nominated director of IFC's Billboard #1 Platinum DVD and pop-culture phenomenon, R.Kelly’s TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET 13-22. Having directed multiple seasons of the MTV hit THE REAL WORLD including the People's Choice Award nominated New Orleans season, Mignatti is able to bring a unique and emotionally resonant approach to his real-people commercial work, creating genuine characters that are brought to life through stunning and often humorous personal moments that are always candid and from the heart.
